Drop the characters Gitea flags as ambiguous from the wiki (#416)
Gitea puts a warning box above a page that holds a character it
counts as ambiguous. Six such characters sat on four pages, so the
box showed on Concepts, Instruments, Sounds and Videos.
- Concepts: the close button is named in words, and the size reads
320x200 px.
- Sounds: the panel size reads 560x414 px.
- Instruments: the cutoff formula uses * instead of the multiplication
sign. This one came in with #421 after the issue was written.
- Videos: the quoted info text stops before the dash that the UI
itself shows. Also newer than the issue.
The code is unchanged. The dash in src/editor/video/videoInfo.ts stays,
because nothing warns about it inside the canvas.
Tests:
- grep over all wiki pages for the multiplication sign, en dash,
single right angle quote and minus sign: 0 hits, no CR.
- Rendered pages before the change: ambiguous-code-point only on
Concepts (2), Instruments (2), Sounds (1) and Videos (1), 6 in all.

Compositions: the composition's bus, video bus, sound kept in step
- Compositions has a new section "The composition's bus": every
composition has a bus and a node in the master routing, audio items
pick To composition, From asset, Master or a bus.
- The old limit "sound runs ahead after a hitch" gives way to the
resync: more than 40 ms off, the sound starts again at the picture.
- Compositions also tells that the sprite of a video item reads
"Driven (by composition)" in its Video clock row.
- Videos describes the row Video bus.
- Sounds lists compositions among the nodes of the master routing.
- Development counts 2077 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Sounds, Videos: a video's own node in the Master routing
- Sounds, Videos, Compositions and Architecture describe the video
node: links, its own bus, the rule for the links of a new video, and
that the tabs play straight into the Master.
- Videos: the recording badge is an HTML element over the canvas.
- Development: 2043 e2e checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Sounds, Videos: a drag changes only the picked clip (#403)
- Sounds: with no clip picked a drag in the strip or the wave makes a
clip. With one picked its handles move its edges, its band moves it
whole, and any other drag does nothing. A click in the wave picks.
- Videos: the same gestures, with the track in place of the wave. The
clips not picked stand faint in the track.
- Development: 1996 editor checks.
The sound rings out on the round screen again and again, and the
reflections drift. Only for the look of it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Bitcrusher device and its pixel screen (#399)
- Sounds: the table row names the device. The Bitcrusher section says

and holds, its texts and the 16 lamps of the bits kept.
- Architecture: CrusherPanel, CrusherFace and crusherView.
- Development: 1975 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Flanger's thin line and its fading trail (#398)
- Sounds: the response is one thin line. Behind the Flanger's comb a
faint trail fades with age, and the line fades out where its teeth
pass faster than an eye follows.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe how the Flanger's comb stays calm where it crowds (#398)
Sounds: the Flanger's comb is reckoned exactly per column and blurred
over the last 1/20 s, so its teeth high up become a calm band instead
of flickering. Its edges are smooth lines.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe Tremolo, Vibrato, Phaser and Flanger as devices (#398)
The four nodes are now drawn as devices of a fixed size in the graph.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The Parametric EQ replaces the 5-Band-EQ, which is gone from the code.
- Sounds: its table row is gone, and so are its range and its place
in the list of numbers an Envelope can move.
- Instruments: the effects row names the Parametric EQ instead, and
the Envelope's list counts four nodes with a wet, not five.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Delay node as a device with its echoes (#393)
- Sounds: the Delay row and a section on the device, its screen, the

- Development: 1957 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the EQ's editor in its node and the wheel in graphs (#381)
The EQ node shows the editor of its tab right in the graph now, and
the small curve below its rows (#375) is gone. The numbers below the
Compressor's knobs in its node are plain labels (#382), and the wheel
zooms a graph over its nodes too (#383).
- Sounds: the table row, the section's opening, the part "In the
node" with the ways it differs from the tab, and the spectrum that
also runs while the node is in the picture.
- Sounds: the Compressor node's numbers as labels, the ratio as 4:1,
and the wheel over a knob or a band zooming the graph.
- Behaviors: the wheel zooms over a node too.
- Architecture: EqPanel, EqEditor and EqFace, and NodeRegistry,
parametricEq and NodeView without the node picture.
- Development: 1956 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Compressor's panel in its node (#380)
The panel of #379 is what a Compressor node shows in the graph now, and
a double-click opens the tab of #378 again.
- Sounds: the node's row in the table, and the section on the device in
the node. Its ports sit beside it, its knobs and lever work there,
typing stays in the tab, and the meter runs while the node is seen.
- Concepts: the window of one size for a Compressor is gone.
- Architecture: CompressorFace, nodeFaces, nodeParamDrag, and a face
instead of the rows in NodeView.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Compressor tab's layout and auto-gain as a switch (#378)
- Sounds: knobs at the bottom, levels filling the height, the curve
centred at their right, and the least size of its window.
- Sounds: auto-gain of the Compressor, Limiter and Saturation is a
switch with the makeup or output on top. The Compressor's gives back
what it takes at -18 dB. New offline measurement.
- Concepts: a window is at least 320 x 200, more where its tab needs.
- Development: 1949 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Sounds: the Compressor's row and a paragraph on its tab: knobs,
curve with threshold and ratio to drag, levels in and out.

copy is, what stays decoded, and the measured memory.
- Songs: a bake is streamed now, not decoded with the project.
- Architecture: streams, streamQueue, streaming and StreamKeeper.
- Development: 1935 e2e checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Parametric EQ's zoom, saved on its node (#376)
- Sounds: the wheel on free space zooms the curve's dB, the steps,
the grid, handles on the edge, saved as `range` and no undo step.
- Sounds: the wheel turns the Q only over a handle now, and the node's
curve is zoomed as the tab is.
- Development: 1922 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the EQ's curve in its node and its spectrum (#375, #374)
- Sounds: the node row says the curve is drawn in small and the tab
shows a spectrum. The Parametric EQ section has a point for each:
the curve in the node and its box without a band, the spectrum
with its sides, its scale of 0 to -96 dBFS, what counts as played
and when no analyser is fed. "What is heard" names the taps.
- Architecture: the `picture` of a node in NodeRegistry and NodeView,
the taps in the sound FX compiler, the axes in parametricEq,
viewport/spectrum, and the spectrum in EqEditor and eqView.
- Development: 1921 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe a tab that floats in a window, and the EQ without Remove (#371)
- Concepts: a document's tab can float in a window and dock again,
one window per kind, keys go to the window pressed last.
- Architecture: FloatWindow and floating next to DocumentTab.
- Sounds: the row below the EQ's curve has no Remove any more, and
floating one tab keeps Play and the EQ in view.
- Development: 1919 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the tabs' preview straight into the master (#368)
- Sounds: the tabs leave the Master routing out and play into the
master. A song's own routing still counts.
- Songs and Instruments say the same where they named the links.
Describe the Parametric EQ and its curve editor (#367)
- Sounds: a row for the node in the table of sound FX nodes, and a
section after Filter on the bands and how the editor sets them.
- Development: 1913 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the 1/16 grid and how new assets are routed (#365)
- Songs: a new song snaps to 1/16, Bar stays a choice.
- Sounds: a new or duplicated asset takes the links most others of
its type have. A new bus goes to the master.
- Development: 1910 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the Master routing graph instead of Bus and Into (#351)
The rows Bus and Into are gone. Sounds, instruments, patterns, songs
and buses are routed in one graph per project now.
- Sounds: the section Master routing replaces Buses and the master.
- Songs, Patterns and Instruments point there instead of a Bus row.
- Development counts 1909 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the level meters and the limiter at the output (#359)
- Songs has a new section Levels and clipping: what the meters of the
tracks and Out show, where they measure, the clip lamp, grey meters
and the measured values from e2e 65.
- The heads and the ruler in the Song tab name the meters.
- Sounds tells of the fixed limiter after the master, its 5 ms delay
and that it waits for the FX worklet.
- Development counts 1901 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe faint clips and the embedded assets a song shares (#357)
- Sounds: the clip area shrinks with the wave when zoomed out, a click
beside the picked clip picks the sound, and the clips not picked lie
faint over the wave.
- Songs: an embedded sound, pattern or sound FX is shared by the places
of its song and goes with the last one. A paste into another song
makes one copy. The picks offer what the song keeps.
- Development: 1898 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Sounds: a new section Clips. The Sound tab is rewritten for the
strip of clip bands, the cut works on the picked clip, and Whole
file is gone.
- Songs, Instruments: a sound field offers the clips of each sound.
- Development: 1897 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

the height from a quarter to 16 times, Fit brings back 1x.
- Development: 1894 editor checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe the voice limit and when previews stop (#356)
- Instruments: at most 12 ways through the pitch worklet at once, a
preset plays nothing, and closing the tab stops what it plays.
- Sounds: the leak of ended voices on the bus, with the measured
numbers before and after. Closing the tab and starting the game
stop what the Sound and Sound FX tabs play.
- Songs and Patterns: game start and closing the tab stop playback.
- Development: 1893 checks.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Describe Bypass and Wet on the sound FX effects (#354)
- Sounds: a new section Bypass and Wet with the table of nodes, the
Delay crossfade, the Pitch lerp and the measured values. The six
former Mix rows are called wet now, the Delay section and the tail
formula follow the new rule.
- Instruments: the effect row links to Bypass and Wet, and the
envelope targets name wet where it was mix.
- Development: 1884 editor checks (2 new in e2e 34).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Sounds, instruments, patterns and songs have a row Sound FX of their
own. Items and Play nodes follow it unless they pick another one.
- Sounds: new section "The sound FX of an asset". It says where each
kind of asset applies it and what From the asset and None mean.
- Songs: the new row, From the asset and None on items and on the fx

- Sounds: a row in the node table for each new node, the Filter
with all types, Q, Gain and Slope, and sections for the Filter,
Compressor and Limiter, Saturation, Tremolo and Vibrato and the
Reverb, each with the values measured in e2e 34.
- Instruments: the node table lists the new nodes, and the numbers an
Envelope can move name the Filter's frequency, Q and gain and the
pan of a Pan instead of cutoff and resonance.
- Development: 1878 editor checks instead of 1872.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
