Edit a composition's tracks, items and clips in its own tab (#417)
A composition could be placed and played, but not filled. Its tab puts the picture at the playhead above a timeline of tracks, so a cut or a cutscene is laid out by dragging assets onto tracks. - The timeline takes the song tab's geometry with frames for ticks: ruler in seconds, scrubbing, play and pause, + Track. Zoom and pan glide through viewTween like the other tabs. - A placeable asset dropped on a track becomes an item, 3 s long or as long as its sprite's video. Dropped on an item it lands behind. - Items move without overlapping. The right edge stops at the next item. The left edge trims into a video and not before its start. - An animation dropped on a track becomes a narrower clip bar above the item it plays on. The asset panel now starts a drag for animations too. - The picture is a scene view over compositionHolder. A click picks an item or its child, a drag moves the real object. It takes no assets, since an object there would have no item. - The hierarchy lists the items alive at the playhead. Reparenting is off there, items stay at the top level. - The inspector shows a TIMING block on an item (start, length, offset for a video, Fit to media) and edits tracks and clips. - Delete, the context menu and Remove item take item and object in one undo step. - fitMedia: an override that gives an item another video sets its length in the same undo step, capped at the next item. Dragging an edge or typing a length turns it off. - A composition inside a composition is refused. Tests: - Unit composition-edit (new): 19 tests. Four counter-checks each turned their test red. The "back to 3 s" test got a step in between after one stayed green. - e2e 69 (new): 11 checks, 9 own. The hierarchy check reads the rows shown, after a counter-check on the model's rows stayed green. - Gate on melektaus-atx: CHECK EXIT 0, 302 files, 4662 tests. Lay patterns and sounds out on tracks and play them as a song #334
Patterns could only be heard one at a time, in their own tab or from a behavior. A song lays patterns and sounds out on tracks along one time axis and plays them through the scheduler of #332, the third piece of the music tools of #330. - New asset type song under the heading Songs, with four empty tracks, 120 BPM in 4/4 and a grid of a bar. Tempo, meter and grid are rows in the inspector. Tracks, items and the loop are the asset's data, held to their rules on load and in every command. - A track has a name, volume, pan, mute and solo. Each is heard on a bus of its own, so a change reaches what is sounding at once. - A pattern item repeats its pattern for as long as it is, with a transpose and another instrument if wanted. A sound item plays its sound as a clip at its own speed, round and round, through a sound FX if wanted. Both have a volume on top of their track's. - Cut back at the left end or split, an item starts as far into what it plays as the cut is: ticks into a pattern, seconds into a sound. - The tab shows the heads with M, S, volume and pan, the ruler of the Pattern tab and the items, a pattern with its notes, a sound with its waveform, a missing asset red. Patterns and sounds are dragged in from the Assets panel. Body, right and left end move, lengthen and cut back, Alt leaves the grid. Ctrl+C/V/D/A, Ctrl+E splits where playing starts, Delete, arrows. A double-click opens a pattern item in its tab. - What is picked is a new selection of its own, so the inspector shows the item or the track, with a button to delete it. - The scheduler plans clips beside notes. Where the playhead starts or jumps back inside a clip, it is taken up that far into its sound. A clip fades out at the end of its item or of the loop. - The editor plays one piece at a time: a pattern started stops the song and the other way round. - The rules are pure functions in core/music/song, editor/song/ songView and songEdit. Draw notes for an instrument in a piano roll and loop them #333
Notes could only be played one at a time, by a key or a behavior. A pattern is a stretch of notes for one instrument, drawn in a piano roll and played in time through the scheduler of #332. Songs (#334) will lay patterns out on tracks. - New asset type pattern under the heading Patterns. Instruments are listed under Instruments now, since a heading is one per type. - Notes are a start and a length in ticks, a note number and a velocity, kept to their rules on load and in every command. The instrument, the length in bars, the grid, the meter and the tempo are rows in the inspector. The loop is the asset's own data, the whole pattern while none is set. - Grids from 1/1 to 1/32 and the triplets 1/4T to 1/32T, all whole ticks. The meter only moves the bar lines, the notes stay put. - The tab shows the keys down the left, a ruler with bars, beats, loop and start along the top, the notes between them and a velocity lane below. Keys the instrument plays nothing for are grey, the names of a drum kit stand on its keys. - A click draws a note on the grid line before the pointer, as long as the last one drawn or lengthened and as hard as the last velocity set. The body moves a note, the right end lengthens it, Alt leaves the grid. A drag on empty grid picks with a band, Shift adds, a right-click deletes. - Keys: Space plays, Delete, Ctrl+C/V/D/A, the arrows by a semitone or a grid step and with Shift by an octave or a bar. A paste lands where playing starts. Every gesture is one undo step. - A click on the ruler sets where playing starts, a drag the loop or one of its ends, its menu loops a bar or the whole pattern. - The wheel scrolls, Shift across, on the ruler or with Alt it zooms. Ctrl+wheel stays with the browser, Pixi listens passively. - Play runs the loop through the scheduler. An edit goes to it on the next window without a restart, a new loop or tempo counts from what is planned. Another pattern shown or a project opened stops it. - The time axis and the ruler are their own pieces in editor/music for the song tab. The rules of the roll are pure functions in rollView and rollEdit. Findings: - Music.play could start after a stop that came while it was still loading its files. A run counter makes the late start give up. Music.edit now loads what a new note needs as well. - A click on an end of the loop would have set the loop again. A press there only moves the end once it is dragged. Tests: - pattern.test.ts (new, 9) and piano-roll.test.ts (new, 16): model, grids, meter, held notes, sequence, commands, loop, round trip, drum names, time lines, rows, hits, bands, lane, edit rules. - e2e 64 (new) on melektaus-atx: ALL PASSED, 20 checks. e2e 4 with 29 asset types: ALL PASSED, 62 checks. - Gate on melektaus-atx: CHECK EXIT 0, 247 test files, 3839 tests. - Counter-checks: the move without its clamp, the sequence without the end of the pattern, the duplicate offset without whole grid steps each fail 1 test. Without passing edits to the scheduler the e2e check for a note drawn while playing fails, the rest passes. - Probe on stein2: the tab with a drum kit, before and while playing, looked at in two screenshots. Put the shapes of a vector drawing on layers and in groups (#190)
A vector drawing was one flat list of shapes. With many shapes the list got hard to read, and several shapes could not be kept or moved together. Now the shapes stand on layers, as in pixel art, and can be put into groups that nest. - A drawing has layers, each with a name and an eye. A hidden layer is neither in the tab nor in the picture a sprite wears, and its shapes cannot be pressed. One layer is the one worked on: the pen and Add shape draw onto it, and SHAPES lists what is on it. - The inspector has a list LAYERS over the shapes. Its plus adds a layer, the cross on a row removes it with all on it, the last one stays. A double-click renames, a drag sorts. - Group (Ctrl+G) puts the selected shapes into a group, Ungroup (Ctrl+Shift+G) takes it away. A group stands over its rows in the list, the rows one step in, and a row is dragged into a group or out of it. - In the tab a press on a shape takes its outermost group, and a drag moves the group as one undo step. - The model has layers with a tree of shapes and groups instead of a flat shapes array. The rules are pure functions in core/model/vectorTree.ts. A drawing saved before opens with all its shapes on one layer. - SortableList takes rows with a depth and drops into a tree. The flat lists of tilemap and pixel art run as before. Decided here: - A group has no transformation of its own and cannot be hidden or locked. Rotating and scaling is the follow-up #291. - A group is never empty: the one that loses its last shape goes with it. - Several selected shapes are dragged together, grouped or not, and a click on a shape of the selection keeps the selection. This is what #217 asked for. - Shift+click selects like Ctrl+click. With Select, Shift pans only beside the shapes, as in the scene view. The middle button pans anywhere, and with the pen and Paint Shift pans as before. - A row of the list picks one shape of a group alone. - Shapes change their layer through a row Layer in the inspector, which is there from two layers on. Rows are not dragged between layers. - A group cannot span two layers, the button is off then. - The pen does not draw onto a hidden layer, the hint says so. - Groups are always shown unfolded. - The four order buttons work inside the own group or layer. Tests: - Gate: 204 files, 3067 tests (3008 + 59), exit 0 - e2e 47,48: 108 checks. e2e 39,40,47,48 before the Shift change: 209 checks. No full run, the sum of 1645 (1639 + 6) is reckoned and CI measures it. - 59 unit tests: 36 in tests/core/vector-tree.test.ts, 23 in tests/editor/vector-layers.test.ts - Six e2e checks with a real mouse in block 47j - 47 unit counter-probes for layers and groups and three for the Shift click all fail tests, run on stein2 - Three browser counter-probes fail their checks - Two screenshots looked at (group in the list, hidden layer) - Only unit tested: the row Layer, sorting and removing layers, copying a group, the Shift pan beside the shapes Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Define a struct once as an asset and reuse its shape (#253)
A struct used to declare its fields wherever it stood. The same shape in two variables meant typing it twice, and Pack/Expand copied it once without staying in sync. A Struct asset now holds the shape in one place, and every struct that picks it as its type follows it. - New asset type "Struct" (not placeable, group Structs, own icon). The inspector shows its fields with name, kind and default value, and "Open" shows them in the variables tab. - Struct variables and struct fields get a Type row: own fields, any Struct asset, or "Make struct type". With a type the fields come from the asset and cannot be added, renamed or removed there. The values stay per variable, overrides on placed objects still work. - Pack and Expand get the setting Type. With a type their ports are the fields of the asset and read-only in the inspector. - A change to the asset reaches every typed place in one undo step (syncStructTypes). A new field arrives with its default. A removed field goes along with its port, edge and typed value. A renamed field keeps its value in variables, overrides and on ports with edges, also through nested types. - Undo for these edits records plain assignments (Recorder), because the reach of a change is not known in advance. - Cycles such as Loot in Loot, also through another type, are refused and not offered in the picker. - Deleting the asset names how many places use it. Afterwards each place keeps its fields as its own. - Loading reshapes a stale copy in a project file to its type. - "Make struct type" creates an asset from an existing struct and links the place to it. Differs from the plan: - A changed default value applies to new fields and newly typed places only. Existing values stay. - Removing a single field shows no warning. Undo brings it back. Typed lists are left for #254. Lists stay dynamic for now. Found by e2e: after deleting or renaming the type the inspector did not rebuild and kept showing the old name. Fixed, the check was red before. Tests: - ./check.sh: 182 files, 2661 tests, CHECK EXIT 0 - GM_STEPS=1,4,21,22,54: ALL PASSED, 176 checks - 14 unit tests in tests/core/struct-types.test.ts - New e2e module 54 with 14 checks, real mouse. Module 04 counts 23 asset types. - Counter-probes: without the rename pass 4 unit tests fail, without reshaping values 8, without the cycle rule 1. In the browser, without spreading changes and with + Field despite a type, 3 checks fail. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Build your own easing curve and use it on keys and Lerp (#247)
The built-in eases cover the usual shapes, but a game often wants its own: a coin that bounces twice, a door that overshoots and settles. A new asset type holds such a curve, and keys and the Lerp node can pick it instead of a built-in ease. - New asset type "curve": points like in Vector art, x is t and y is the value. A new curve is the straight line from (0, 0) to (1, 1). - One pure evaluation in src/core/model/curve.ts serves the timeline preview, the running game and the Lerp node. - The curve always has one value per t. The end points stay at t 0 and 1, points cannot pass each other, and a handle that reaches past its neighbour is shortened along its direction. Loading a hand-edited file applies the same rules. - Curve tab: click on the line to insert a point that keeps the shape, click on free space to put one there, drag points and handles, double-click or Delete removes, Alt-click toggles round and sharp. Every step is one undo step. - Presets: all 30 built-in eases plus Linear, fitted with adaptive subdivision. Each stays within 0.4 % of the built-in ease. - Preview: a dot runs along the curve once a second, a second dot shows only the value. The Preview button stops it. - Animation keys get "Curve" under Easing with a curve picker. Lerp gets "Curve" under Ease, and its result may overshoot b. - A missing or unpicked curve runs linear. The inspector says so, the node shows it as a problem, and deleting a used curve warns with the number of keys and Lerp nodes. Tests: - ./check.sh: 180 files, 2612 tests, CHECK EXIT 0 - GM_STEPS=1-6,25,53: ALL PASSED, 309 checks - New e2e module 53 with 13 checks, all with the real mouse. Expected values come from its own Bezier evaluation. - Counter-checks bite: without Bezier evaluation 4 unit tests fail, without handle clamping 2. In the browser, a key that cannot find its curve, a click that sets no point and a handle drag that moves the point all turn checks red. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

The asset type "vector art" exists as a model, which is stage 1 of #129 and shows nothing in the browser yet on purpose: a vectorart asset is not placeable, sits in the + menu and in the asset panel with its own icon (a curve between two points) and has no tab, so it behaves like a font - selectable, its rows in the inspector, a double click leading nowhere - because the tab is stage 3 and half an asset would only be in the way; the data model in Asset.ts is a shape built from rings (even-odd, so a shape may have holes, answer 6 in the issue), a ring being points with optional bezier handles in/out stored as an offset from the point and a closed flag (an open path is stroke only, answer 4), plus fill colour, opacity and an optional stroke (answer 5) - the two handles are kept apart instead of mirrored, because what "smooth" means is the editor's business and not the model's; canvas width, height and the filter are properties, so they get an inspector row and undo like any other, while the shapes are intrinsic data like the frames of a texture; the revision that #185 hands to the picture path is a fingerprint of what is drawn, not a counter, which is exactly why that key took a string token - no command can forget to bump it - and the name of a shape is deliberately left out of it, renaming changing no pixel; six undo commands in the new vectorArtCommands.ts (add a shape numbered in order, remove one which comes back to its old place - unlike a tilemap layer the last one may go too -, rename, move, write the rings as one step per gesture with the list copied, and set the style where stroke: null takes it away) and the pure function shapeOrderTarget for the four buttons of the planned inspector list (one forward, to front, one back, to back), which also serves dragging in that list; loading from a project file is strict - a point without numbers falls away, a broken handle leaves a corner behind, duplicate shape ids fall away like duplicate layer ids, a stroke of width 0 is no stroke - while a ring with a single point, which is what someone is drawing right now, stays; three findings on the way: JSON.stringify as the fingerprint was wrong because the same drawing came back from a project file as {points, closed} and was built as {closed, points}, so a reload would have rasterized the same picture under a new key (the fingerprint writes its fields in a fixed order now and a test measures that case), toNumber in serialize.ts turns any nonsense into 0 so the Number.isFinite checks ran into nothing and {x: 'far'} became the left edge instead of vanishing (shapes read numbers strictly via asFinite, 0 being a place on the canvas here), and "Vector art" would have been both a menu entry and the panel heading, which an existing test catches because a click by text would hit the heading - the group is called "Vector drawings" now while the menu entry stays "Vector art"; 20 new unit tests in tests/core/vectorart.test.ts and three counter-checks hold: the fingerprint back on JSON.stringify fails 2, reading the numbers loosely again fails 4, and not copying the ring list fails 1; no e2e check and the check sum stays 1157, only module 04 counting 19 asset types instead of 18 (#129)

Three stores, three importers and three pickers that differ only in their type are one of each (#85)
Refactoring round one: HttpFontStore/HttpSoundStore/HttpTextureStore collapse into a generic HttpFileStore over a FileStore contract; fontImport/soundImport/textureImport share assetImport with an ImportKind per sort; ImagePicker/FontPicker/SoundPicker sit on FilePicker and describe only their row. The group/comment drag logic leaves GraphCanvas for annotationDrag.ts (with its own unit test), declaredRows.ts replaces the duplicated row build in particles.ts and shaders.ts, and dead code in font/sound/compile/emission/transform/actions is gone. A shared value belongs to no behavior, so it becomes an asset of its own (#91)
game-maker / suite (push) Failing after 8m59s
This reverses the design of the previous commit. `PropertyDef.scope` is gone without replacement: a behavior variable is an object property again, without exception, and sharing is something you point at rather than something you declare twice. A **Variables asset** is declarations and nothing else -- no graph, no position, never placed, no tab of its own (`TAB_OF_ASSET` is already `Partial<>`, so that costs no line). A `Variables` node names one through its new `variablesAsset` setting, empty meaning the behavior's own variables as before, and then reads and writes one value per key for the whole run. Its property list follows the chosen source, which was the actual request: a value another graph declared is now offerable, where before every participant had to declare the name itself. That deletes more than it adds (-72 lines net): `globalConflicts` and its run-stopping kind clash, `SetVariableScopeCommand`, the scope picker, both object-inspector filters and the "shared by the whole run" note on the placed object. A typo is no longer a silent second variable -- naming an asset is picking from a list. And two Variables assets may carry the same key without meeting, because the asset is the key, not the name. The one shape it copies is the one that already existed: `Set state` picks its machine the same way. Lifetime is unchanged. The bag is built at `BehaviorSystem.start()` from the declarations and never written back, so playing in the editor cannot change the project -- which is the whole reason a counter must not be an object property (`World.syncToModel` would `commit()` it, and the coin counter would stand at 7 for good). Full symmetry across that gap, without mirroring anything. Two named wires: `Inspector.liveVariables` shows the values as they stand while a run is on and falls back to the declarations when it ends, and `adoptDeclarations()` takes a key into the run *only where the document changed it since the last sync*. Without that condition any unrelated project edit would snap a running counter back to its starting value; a counter-test bends exactly that and falls over. Nothing was ever cached, incidentally: `GraphInterpreter` only pulse-caches nodes without a `read`, and the variable node has one. The wire was missing. The state machine `Scope` row is now an ordinary `enum` row through `createFieldRow`. It was hand-built from an `HStack` with a ghost dropdown and began ~34px left of every value above it; the explanations beside `Local` and `Global` are gone from the menu, the sentence below the row keeps saying it. Machine scope is otherwise untouched -- `StateMachineAsset.scope`, `SetMachineScopeCommand`, `stateBag()` and its persistence all stand, so #59 stays closed as built and `Scope` as a type now carries machines alone. Six counter-proofs, each biting at its own guard. One of them did not bite at first: the suggestion list was computed twice, in `nodeSection` and `portSection`, so only the browser test covered the request itself. It is one named function now, `variableChoices`, with a unit test of its own. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

A shared value belongs to the run, so a declaration carries its scope (#91)
A variable or a state machine declared `global` keeps one value for the whole run instead of one per behavior instance. The scope sits on the declaration -- `PropertyDef.scope` and `StateMachineAsset.scope`, both optional, absence meaning `local` -- and `local` is never written, so every project made before this saves back unchanged. **The name is the key.** Two behaviors declaring a global `score` mean one variable; a behavior declaring `score` locally keeps its own. Kinds that disagree about one global name stop the run before it starts, with the two behaviors named; starting values that disagree are a warning on the behavior that declares it, and the first declaration wins (`globalConflicts`). The runtime needs no redirection layer. A global variable falls out of `schemaForObject`, so it never reaches `entity.props` -- and then the whole rule is "whoever declares the name takes their own value" (`graph/sharedState.ts`). The `Variables` node is untouched and stays transparent: switching a variable to global breaks no existing graph, because `GraphInterpreter.readAll` builds a fresh object per read anyway and only asks `port.key in all`. That same cut answers the inspector. A shared value has no owner, so the placed object shows no row for it and can hold no override -- `SetVariableScopeCommand` takes the deviations that were there and undo gives them back. Both places say it in words rather than leaving a glyph to be guessed: the declaration explains the mark below the list, and the placed object names the variable it no longer holds instead of claiming the behavior declares none -- which is what it said before, untruthfully. Screenshots of the e2e run turned that up; no check had been looking at it. `SharedState` hangs off `NodeContext`, is built in `BehaviorSystem.start()` from the *declarations* rather than from any instance (a global variable exists before its behavior is placed), and is thrown away with the run: nothing is written back, not even in the editor run. `GraphInterpreter.call` passes it on through `...ctx` while nested calls keep getting fresh local variables, which is why `program.defaults` is stripped of global keys. Two traps this hit. `defSignature`/`assetSignature` have to carry the scope or the inspector does not rebuild after the switch -- and a state machine has no rows at all, so its scope is appended to the signature by hand. And the object inspector does not go through `schemaForObject` for behaviors, it reads `asset.variables` directly; filtering in one place was not enough, and no unit test covered that path. The e2e caught it (`global: true` where false belonged), and the rule now lives in one named function, `objectRows`. Scopes `object` and `scene` are deliberately not built. The object case already has a route (`Object by name` -> `Properties`), and a run knows exactly one scene, so `scene` would be indistinguishable from `global` until #39 exists. Closes #59: a machine's scope is a word on the machine asset, not a setting per `Set state` node, so the same machine cannot live in two places at once. Shader assets: graph-built shaders, the Shader tab and sprite rows from the graph (#62)
game-maker / suite (push) Failing after 3m59s
A shader is an asset carrying a node graph (Texture color, Output, Property, Color, Add/Subtract/Multiply/Divide, Mix, Luminance) that compiles to the GLSL fragment of a Pixi filter. The Shader tab reuses the Behavior canvas; a sprite wears a shader through its Shader picker, and the rows below it are the graph's Property nodes. Property schema, resolution and deviation take the project because a sprite's rows now live in another asset. The built-in registry of the prototype is gone; "Adjust colors" ships as a graph in the fixture and the three example games. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

State machines: asset, tab, State branch and Set state nodes (#51)
A state machine is an asset whose graph holds one `State` node per state (no ports, name as title), edited in a new "State machine" tab that reuses the graph canvas: right-click places "State n", snap toggle shared with the Behavior tab via SnapToggle. `statemachine` is a value kind like texture (port, literal node, variable, struct field, tagged list item). Behaviors use it through `State branch` (one exec output per state) and `Set state` (one exec input per state; the interpreter now hands `run` the entry port). States live per behavior instance in NodeContext.states, with no initial state. Ports derive from the inline picker or a wired `State machine` literal; BehaviorLookup became GraphLookup with behavior(id) and machine(id). The Graph tab is labelled "Behavior" (key unchanged). Unit tests (state-machine, kinds, catalog, ports), e2e step 26 and README added. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Remove exports and methods nothing uses any more
A reference search over every export and method in src/ found code that only tests still called, or that was never called at all: - RemoveSceneObjectCommand: the product only removes through the multi-object command; the tests now use that one too. - NodeRegistry.requireNodeDef: a second function of the same name in commands/require.ts raises a CommandError instead of throwing, and is the one the product uses. The twin invited the wrong import. - isTextureAsset, listContainers, AssetTabEditor.show, FocusManager.destroy, KeyboardBridge.selectAll and the getters ColorField.value, ListView.selected, NumberField.number. Value specs of the inspector and the list tab share valueSpecs.ts, and the remaining copies (compound commands, type glyphs, typed asset lookup, name rule, play/editor world setup, marquee) are merged. Four copies had already drifted apart; merging them fixes: - "Disconnect N links" in the port menu is one undo step, not N - "+ Add collider" is hidden on a placed container instance, as in the hierarchy menu, instead of always failing - a bool property coerced from the text "false" becomes false - a port command on an unknown node type reports instead of crashing Comment-only edits leave the bundle byte-identical. README corrected in 35 places (step limit, jump-run clock, suite duration, 409 body, ...). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Take the cross-cutting queries out of the model's base module
findPropertyUsages walks override sites, so Project.ts imported instance.ts while instance.ts imported Project.ts – the repo's only value-level import cycle. The queries now sit in usages.ts and Project.ts is a base type module again. requireScene has had no caller since holderId replaced sceneId. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Resolve container content from the template instead of copying it
A scene now stores only the container object; its content is resolved from the template on every read, with deviations kept as sparse instanceEdits on the container object. This drops the propagation bookkeeping entirely -- templateSync.ts is gone and the three structural gaps (add, remove, reparent) cannot diverge any more. Values stay editable on an instance, structure does not; Unpack writes the content into the scene, keeping ids. Play mode bakes containers into the throwaway copy before entities are built. No migration: formatVersion is 2 and the seeders write the new format. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Add a Container tab and propagate template edits
The Container tab reuses SceneViewport against any object holder, so a container template is edited exactly like a scene. Right-click no longer changes the selection, which previously made nesting impossible: opening the menu on a container loaded it, and "Place in container" then targeted itself. Template edits (move, rename, override) now reach already-placed instances per slot, through a shared templateSync used by both the apply path and the plain object commands. Copies the user has touched keep their own value. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Trim needless comments and fix the picker width
Remove comments that only restate the code, keeping the section banners and the notes that carry a reason, a measured fact or an external contract. ButtonOptions.width claimed to be a fixed width but only set minWidth, so the Graph and Texture pickers grew with the name they showed. It is now what it promises, with a separate minWidth for the buttons that have two forms. Narrow buttons shrink their padding, otherwise a 24px icon button had 8px left for its glyph and truncate dropped it entirely. __gm.labelsDropped() guards that class: the overflow guard only saw text that was too wide, never a label truncated to nothing. Refactoring: one file per node, consistent comments, shared helpers, split large modules
- Graph: nodes.ts split into nodes/<category>/<Type>.ts (62 files) with shared.ts factories and index.ts registry; NodeContext/values/NodeRegistry separated, writeTyped() replaces duplicated typed writes - Comments: one style (JSDoc on non-obvious exports, // for decisions and traps), wrong/stale comments fixed or removed, ids.ts now real 10 base-36 chars - Core: chainOf, shared worldPosition/editorPosition core, commands/require.ts, commands/naming.ts, util/list.ts, setBagValue/toPosition/propDef; dead code removed (isBehaviorAsset, SCENE_OBJECT_SCHEMA, CommandStack.subscribe, Input.axis, setMode, titleText, World.worldPosition, unused ctor params) - Editor: Inspector split into inspector/ sections, App.ts into Editor.ts + debugHook.ts + shortcuts.ts, Viewport into items.ts + symbols.ts, shared "Add collider" action, unified type labels/swatches - UI toolkit: Widget.trackHover/onPointerRelease, drawControlBox, math helpers, Popup.openBelow, Menu/Dialog/ColorPicker/ListRow in own files, named Theme sizes - Tools: seed-demo/smoke-demo and demo-check project removed, tools/lib (harness, projects, builders), e2e.mjs as runner over tools/e2e/*.mjs sections - Tests: tests/helpers.ts replaces copied fixtures and NodeContext doubles Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com> |
